Joan Diederich, 64, De Pere, passed away Thursday March 25, 2022, peacefully surrounded by family after a long, courageous battle with COPD.
Joan Martha Jonet Diederich was born on July 12, 1957, to the late Peter and Lucy Jonet in Algoma, WI. Joan was the youngest of five children. Joan grew up in Tonet and graduated from Luxemburg-Casco in 1975. She worked at Parkview Nursing Home for 25 years as a nurse’s aid. Joan loved animals and they loved her. She was always there for both them and her family. She was an awesome cook and baker also enjoying crocheting, canning and several other crafts.
Survived by her son, Ryan (John). Brothers James (Gail) Jonet, Thomas Jonet. Sister Terrie Flessert and twin sister Jean (Brent) Alberts. Goddaughters Diane Flessert and Heather Wusterbarth, and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law Suzanne Jonet, niece Connie Jonet, nephew Jayme Jonet, great niece Samantha Heraly. Special pets Toby, Cocoa, and Minnie.
We find peace and comfort knowing she is with her parents who she dearly missed. Joan wanted to give special thanks to her brothers and sisters for always being there for her and to Brent and Sierra for their help.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church (347 Libal Street, De Pere) from 10am to 11:45am, with a mass at 12 noon with Father Tyler Richards officiating. There will be a private burial in Tonet at a later date. Cotter Funeral Home and Cremation Care is assisting the family.
