Joan M. Nackers

Joan M. (Aschenbrenner) Nackers, age 72 of De Pere, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. The daughter of Rufus and Mildred (Vanden Hogan) Aschenbrenner was born September 6, 1951. She graduated from De Pere High School in 1969. Later she went on to work at Lord's Dental Studio for 41 years.

Joan loved watching sports and was a huge Green Bay Packers fan. But her biggest joy in her life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They always brought the biggest smile to her face.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Weiss (Tony VandeHey); grandchildren: Justin Allen, Zander Weiss and Devin Weiss; great-grandchildren: McKenna, Gauge, and Myles Allen, siblings: Diane (Roger) Loeh, Wayne (Alice) Aschenbrenner, Dave (Ann) Aschenbrenner, Mary (Carl) Ambrosius, Jim (fiancé Bobbie Anderson) Aschenbrenner, Janet (Bradley) Gay, brother-in-law: Dan Van Rens; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents Rufus and Mildred, Joan was preceded in death by her twin sister Jean Van Rens; and nieces: Tracy, Lisa, and Angela Van Rens.

Per the family’s wishes, no formal services will be held. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
