Jeanette Ann Lund 87 of Allouez, WI, passed away peacefully at her home with her family and her puppy, Chloe, by her side after a brief illness.
She was born Jeanette Ann Bader on November 14, 1934, in Red River, WI to Edward and Florence Bader. She was raised by her aunt and uncle, Esther and Martin Williams after her mother passed away when Jeanette was a teenager. Jeanette went to St. Joseph’s Academy and attended college at both St. Scholastica and St. Norbert’s.
Jeanette married the love of her life Wilford Martin Lund on October 20, 1956. She and Wilford raised four children in De Pere to include Wilford Lund Jr (Jeanne), Becky (Patrick Ehlen), Thomas Lund (Ruth), and Wendy (Mark Hoff). Jeanette stayed home to raise her children and was very active in their lives. Upon retiring in their 50’s, they moved to Eagle River, WI where they enjoyed a long retirement and were active with the community. Jeanette was an accomplished quilter and belonged to both Evergreen Quilters guild in Green Bay and Cranberry Quilters guild in Eagle River. She held many board positions in these clubs and was very active up until her illness. Over the course of 30 plus years, Jeanette made quilts for Veterans, sick children in hospitals and homeless shelters. She also made many quilts for her family and friends.
Jeanette cherished her grandchildren Alicia Ehlen, Adrienne Garrot (Beau), Paul Lund (Megan), Emily Lund (future husband Eric Sciarrone), Chase Hoff (Claudia), Evan Lund, Dylan Hoff (Alexia), Eden Lund (Shane Kusserow), Parker Hoff, and Rebecca Hoff. She also enjoyed her great grandsons Bradley and Zachary Lund.
After her husband’s death, Jeanette moved to Allouez and got to do many firsts such as road tripping to Washington DC, traveling to Miami, and sitting on the beach and seeing the ocean for the first time.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford Lund, daughter Rebecca Ehlen, father and mother Edward and Florence Bader, and In-laws, Wilford Lund, Mary Lund, Jack Lund, and Michael Lund, Jack Klaus, Michael Koop, and many cousins and friends throughout the years.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, Brother Thomas Bader (Deb Bader), in-laws, Tina (Ron Weas), Jill Klaus, Jerry (DeeDee), Judi (Gary Van Enkenvoort), and Susie Koop. She also is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. She is also survived by her favorite little dog Chloe.
Visitation for Jeanette will be Monday May 9, 2022, from 9am – 10:45am at Resurrection Church (333 Hilltop Dr. Green Bay) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am, Father Tom Reynebeau officiating.
