Janice Alice (Nimmer) Vanderkinter, age 85, born February 20, 1937, passed away September 3, 2022 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay. A 1955 graduate of Kewaunee High School, she dairy farmed most of her life with her late husband Kenneth. She later worked in the meat department at Main Street Market in Mishicot for several years. On April 22, 1961 she married Kenneth Roger Vanderkinter at St Peter’s Lutheran Church in Carlton, WI. Janice enjoyed spending time with children, grandchildren and family; playing cards, gardening, coloring, word searches, cooking, baking and entertaining, sewing and embroidering, canning, gardening vegetables, polka dancing and rummage sales.
Janice is survived by her daughter: Peggy Sue (Thomas) Stinson; son James Lee Vanderkinter; grandchildren: Nicholas (Emma) Sancomb; Reggie Stinson, Mackenzie Stinson, Felicia Kudick, Gabriel Vanderkinter, Jackson Paul-Vanderkinter; Alex Ladwig, Justin Ladwig; sisters-in-law Doris Nimmer and Cynthia Nimmer; brother-in-law: Harold Vanderkinter, sister-in-law Hazel (Dennis) Kubichka.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Kenneth Roger Vanderkinter; daughters: Karen Marie Vanderkinter-Sancomb and Genevieve Ladwig; brothers: Dickie Nimmer and Ramon Nimmer; parents: Alden and Florence Nimmer; brother-in-law Leroy Vanderkinter; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Everett and Gertrude Vanderkinter.
Family and friends may visit at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 435 Wisconsin Ave, Denmark, on Monday, September 12, from 9:00am until 10:45am. Funeral service will follow at 11:00am with Pastor Andy Zoerb officiating. Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting the family.
