Jim was active in the Marriage Encounter community and recently volunteered in the choir at Resurrection Catholic Church.
Jim is survived by his wife, of nearly 54 years, Marge; his son and daughter-in-law, James and Angela Schiffer; his daughter and son-in-law Christie and Bob Zuleger; his granddaughters, Addalynn and Jossalynn Schiffer, as well as Eiley Schiffer and her fiancée, Joey Nelson and son Oliver, and Elizabeth Visgar. Jim is further survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Mary Schiffer of London, England, and Donald and Susan Schiffer of San Diego, CA.; a sister-in-law, Judy Franken as well as several nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and in-laws, Robert and Marguerite Franken.
