James “Jim” Kozlovsky, age 90, of Denmark, passed away on May 5, 2026 after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia. He was born on September 29, 1935 at home to the late Joseph and Lilly (Pelishek) Kozlovsky. On October 20, 1956, he married Joanne Selner at All Saints Catholic Church in Denmark and together they shared an incredible 69 years together.
Jim was a proud second-generation farmer who dedicated his life to working the land he loved. His legacy is carried on now by his son and grandson marking the third and fourth generation for the farm. He also worked for Brown County Publishing as a truck driver. Jim loved his family dearly and in his spare time enjoyed woodcrafting, where he crafted beautiful pieces that reflected his creativity and skill. He thoroughly enjoyed a good game of Sheephead with friends and family and could often be found enjoying a cold brew and sharing stories.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Joanne; children: Randy (Jean) Kozlovsky, Sandy (Larry) Schmahl, Karen (Dan) Eliason and Richard (Charlet) Kozlovsky; grandchildren: Jesse (Sarah) Kozlovsky, Tiffany (Tim) Potts, Tamara Haines, Tara (Brock) Donovan, Darren (Corina) Schmahl, Sheena (Rich) Craanen, Jeff (Maria) Herrmann, Tyler (Jackie) Kozlovsky and Dana Kozlovsky and 17 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his in-laws: James (Suzy) Selner, Betty Selner and Kathryn Selner, as well as nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Clarence (Arlene) Kozlovsky, Joanne’s parents, Louis and Mary Selner; brothers-in-law: Robert Selner, Richard Selner and Francis Selner; and nephew Bernie Kozlovsky.
