James Joseph Vertz

James Joseph Vertz, 63, of De Pere, passed away peacefully at home Friday, April 14, 2023. James was born July 22, 1959, to Kenneth and Mary Ann (Goss) Vertz in Green Bay. He was a graduate of De Pere High School.

James enjoyed fishing, boating, and collecting baseball cards. His friendly spirit will be missed by all whose lives he touched.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Ann Vertz; his children, Alex and Luke Vertz; his brothers, Dan (Lori) Vertz and Dave (Peggy) Vertz; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Vertz; and one brother and sister.

Family and friends may gather Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan St., De Pere, WI from 10:30am until the time of mass at 11:00am with Fr. Ben Johnson officiating.
