Helen J. Meyer

Helen Jean Meyer, 92 of De Pere, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2024. She was born on May 18, 1932 in Marshfield to the late Otto and Monica (Bartl) Brown. 

Helen graduated from Marshfield High School. She was a stay-at-home mom and then worked for a number of years at the Boston Store and later at Shopko Express, retiring in 2011. Helen was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She had a passion for golf and spent much of her time on the course with her friends Lois, Ruthie, Marlene, and Rita. It brought her much joy and many fond memories. Helen was quite an ace. Often shooting in the 40’s at The Woods and even attained a hole-in-one. Helen also loved bowling, music, playing cards, and was a big Packers fan.

She is survived by her children: Dean, Debbie (Dan), Pam, Cindy, and Scott (Marci); grandchildren: Lauren, Kimberlee, B.J. (William), Rachel, Becca, Luke, Aaron, Jake, and Paul; great-grandchildren: Makaida, William III, Russell, Daniel, Fredrik; great-great-grandchild: Jett; brother-in-law: Dale Wolfe; sisters-in-law: Barbara Brown and Joanne Brown.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Mercedes Kramer and Jacqueline Wolfe, brothers: James “Sonny” Brown and Jerry Brown.

Family and friends may visit beginning at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Avenue, De Pere. A prayer service will be held at 11:30 am. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made out to Arthritis Foundation or American Stroke Association.
