Gladys C. Diny, age 83, of Greenleaf, passed away at home with her family by her side. She was born on December 15, 1934, in De Pere, to the late George and Mary (Hecker) Dollar. On September 15, 1956 she married Joseph Diny at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, De Pere. Gladys and Joe farmed in Greenleaf with family for many years. She was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Greenleaf. Her many hobbies included: sewing, cooking, knitting, canning, flower gardening, reading and word puzzles. Above all else, she enjoyed visiting with family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children: Debra (Tom) Scott; Ken (Cyndie) Diny; Karen Wiltgen; Donna (Wayne) Krueger; Janet Kubsh; Bonnie (Steven) Nockerts; Roger (Ellen) Diny; Rick (Laurie) Diny; Lisa Leurquin; Gary (Katrina) Diny; Julie (Darrell) Yunk; Sarah Smith; Jennifer (Wendell) Zemple; 36 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Rita Lacenski, Elsie (Don) Krajnik, Joan (Dick) Maurer, Leona Beining, Jan (Pat) Henning; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Thomas (Angel) Diny, Marian Diny and Dolores Diny; as well as other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe; a daughter, Susan Diny; sons-in-law, Donald Leurquin and Aaron Smith; siblings: Arlene Thomas and Angie Roffers.
Family and friends may visit at St. Clare Parish-St. Mary Site, 2212 Day St., Greenleaf, on Saturday, September 1, from 9-11am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Fr. Brian Wideman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
