Gerald Brantmeier, 69, Maribel went to heaven Thursday evening, September 23, 2010, after a two year battle with cancer. He was at home surrounded by his wife and children. Jerry was born December 31, 1940, in Green Bay, to the late Leo and Delphine (Everts) Brantmeier. Jerry graduated from Denmark High with the class of 1959. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Family and farming were Jerry’s joys in life. Survivors include his loving wife, Rita; 8 children: Dawn Brantmeier, Jeff (Sandy) Brantmeier, Rebecca (Brian) Krahn, Victoria (Spence) Van Dehy, Staff Sgt. Jennifer Martin, Andrew Martin, Jason Brantmeier, and Justin Brantmeier; 10 grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Ev (Don) Van Duerzen, Pat (Barb) Brantmeier, Ray (Sandy) Brantmeier, Ann Brantmeier, Bill (Barb) Brantmeier, Mae (Ed) Enz, Rose (Dan) Rosik; mother-in-law, Verna Stedl; brother-in-law, Richard Stedl; sister-in-law, Karen Stedl; and many other relatives and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Richard and Bernard. Family and friends may call Monday, September 27, 2010 at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 County Rd.
