Gary Freischmidt, 68, De Pere, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by the love of his family on Sunday, February 27, 2011. Gary was born November 25, 1942 in Fond du Lac to Olive (Konen) and the late Claude Freischmdit. He graduated from Goodrich High School in 1961 and attended UW Oshkosh. He started his career with National Cash Register Company and retired from Georgia Pacific after 26 years in the Rewinder Department. Gary married Rose Vande Loo May 11, 1968 at St Mary Catholic Church, De Pere. Gary was a member of St Mary Catholic Community. He enjoyed spending time in his yard, riding his John Deere, watching the Packers and Seinfeld but most of all spending time with his family. Gary’s sense of humor brought joy and laughter to all of us! Gary is survived by his loving wife of almost 43 years, Rose; and their children: Amy Joel Dorchester; Sarah David Patrickus; Megan Brian Larsen; six grandchildren, Sam James Dorchester, Ellie Nolan Patrickus, Tyler Mckenzie Larsen; his mother, Olive Freischmidt; three sisters; Janet Mel Birschbach, Pam Ron Birschbach, Penny Kohn, two brothers; Leon Rosemary Freischmidt, Gordy Bev Freischmidt. Roses’ family; Joann Vande Loo, Michael Lois Vande Loo, Carol White, Linda Villiesse and Ann Vande Loo; numerous nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his father; Claude (Bud) Freischmidt, granddaughter, Bridget Patrickus. Father-in-law and mother-in-law: Henry and Sadie Vande Loo and a brother-in-law, Tom Vande Loo. Family and friends may call Wednesday March 2, 2011 from 3 until 5:15p.m. at St Mary Catholic Community, Pope John XXIII Circle, off Sportsmans Dr, Town of Ledgeview. A Celebration of Gary’s Life will be at 5:30p.m. Wednesday at the church with Rev. Patrick Beno officiating. Entombment in the Allouez Catholic Mausoleum.
