Garry Landon Pierce, 65, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 19th, 1959, in Russell County, Kansas, to Dean and Ermalea (Gifford) Pierce. He resided in De Pere, Wisconsin.
Garry grew up in Gorham and Wichita, Kansas. After attending Campus High School, he graduated from Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. He served faithfully in church ministry for 30 years. He pastored in Merrill, Wisconsin, Salt Lake City, Utah, Wichita, Kansas, Salem, Oregon, West Plains, Missouri, and Green Bay, Wisconsin. He was passionate about serving the Lord through worship, teaching, preaching, counseling, and many other ministries. He always found time to help those in need. Even in his final years, he spent his time ministering to those around him.
Garry and Nicky were married in 2004 and enjoyed raising a blended family of five children together. They also had many Old English Sheepdogs, with his favorite dog being Sully.
Garry enjoyed playing tennis, basketball and baseball growing up. He won the Wichita City Tennis Championship when he was in high school. He loved to read his Bible, as well as books on theology, American history, and politics. He was an incredible musician, vocalist, choir director and worship leader, and could play many instruments. He was a dedicated Packer fan, but still held his home team, the Kansas City Chiefs, close to heart. He leaves behind a legacy of love for the Lord and for people, and his affinity for caring for others in need.
Garry is survived by his wife, Dr. Nicky Plementosh; parents, Dean and Ermalea Pierce of Wichita, Kansas; son, Joshua (Brooke) Pierce and their children Landon, Nathan, and Summer Joy of Spring, Texas; son, Jonathan (Ginny) Pierce and their children Sienna and Sawyer of De Pere, Wisconsin; daughter, Daria (significant other Alex Secor) Pierce of Hobart, Wisconsin; stepson, Jordan (Tori) Serr of Green Bay, Wisconsin; stepson, Nicholas (Jamey) Serr and their expected daughter of Green Bay, Wisconsin; and sister Stefanie (John) Weaver and their son Ashton of Olathe, Kansas.
