On January 11, 2021 Floyd Robert Kriescher unexpectedly joined enteral life to be reunited with his wife and our mother, Suzanne. Floyd was born December 15, 1954 in Green Bay, WI to Robert and Laverne Kriescher. The fourth of seven children, Floyd was your typical middle child.
On May 31st, 1974 Floyd married his soul mate and the love of his life Suzanne (Lasee) Kriescher at St Boniface Church in De Pere. Together Floyd and Suzi had three boys, Jeremy, John, and James, who were the center of their lives.
Even before graduation from Ashwaubenon High School, Floyd was employed as diesel mechanic for Schneider Transport. In 1983 Floyd decided to chase his dream and become an over the road truck driver for 36 years. He accumulated over 3 million safe miles before joining his current employer, Murphy Concrete as a local dump truck driver. With having traveled every state and nearly every lower province in Canada, Floyd was the ultimate atlas.
Floyd’s world was his three sons and twelve grandchildren. This focus deepened even further upon the passing of his wife, Suzi. Floyd made it his focus to spend as much time as possible with every one of them. It did not matter what the activity was, Floyd just wanted to be with them as much as possible.
Floyd very much loved and enjoyed the time he spent with his boys fishing, hunting, or going to sporting events for his grandkids. Starting when the boys were young, depending on the season, Floyd took them fishing or hunting every chance he had. He cherished every minute from the travels to the time spent with them. Later in life Floyd was able to enjoy this time even more with the hunting and fishing trips across the country he took with the boys. It was in these trips that Floyd created the memories he so dearly wanted. Whether in the woods or on the water, this is where he wanted to be with the people who were most important to him.
Floyd left an impression on everyone he encountered, both young and old. To them he was Floyd, Floydee, Fritz, “the Big F”, Buffy, The Sandman, Uncle Floyd, friend, brother, son, husband, Grandpa Floyd, and most importantly Dad!
Floyd is preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Suzi, a grandson Gabriele Kriescher, and his father Robert Kriescher. He is survived by Jeremy Robert (Bobbi) Kriescher and their four children (Charles, Grace, Lily, and Ruth), John William (Heidi) Kriescher and their five children (Cassie and friend Chase, Noah, Ayden, Emmit, and Zander, James Floyd (Amanda) Kriescher and their three children (Logan, Alexander, and Owen). His mother Laverne Kriescher, and very special friend Kathleen Wall, Six brothers and sisters, Evelyn (Pete) Reingier, Marion (Rick) Vercautern, Bonnie (Paul) Lasee, Jack (Kris) Kriescher, Ken (Mary Jo) Kriescher, and Annette (Steve) Anderson. Eighteen brother and sister in laws. Numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express our sincere thanks to Jim and Jake Orlowski, of Pine Acres Resorts, for the efforts and the risk they took to attempt to save our dad. There is no way to thank them for what they did. We would also like to thank the Stephenson Area Rescue Services for all their efforts.
