Eugene ”Gene” Bryfczynski, 84, passed away January 21, 2022, with family by his side.
Born on February 7, 1937 to the late John and Susan (Strzelecki) Bryfczynski, graduated from Pulaski High School where he excelled in sports, especially football and basketball, leading to a passionate 25-year career as a windmill softball pitcher in the area. Camping, traveling, a Packer, Brewers and Bucks fan, and spending time with family were some of Gene’s favorite past times. Gene and Sandi Binkowski married in 1970 and started sharing many hobbies together.
Gene is survived by his wife, Sandi, his children Mark (Denise), Chris (Michael), Sara, and Steven. Grandchildren Clifford, Jason, Dana, Amanda, Kurtis, Taylor, Jacob, and Jonah. Also 4 great grandchildren. Brothers; Alex (Grace), Richard, Joseph, Jerry (Carol Jean), Robert (Brenda) Sisters; Eleanor (“Bud”), Pattie (Jim), Sisters-In-law Yvonne and Sharon, along with many other nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, his two children Kathy (Bill) and Peter, Grandchild Chad, and special Godchild Amy, Brothers Stanley, Norbert, and Donald.
Visitation for Gene will be Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 North Webster Avenue, De Pere from 5pm – 7pm, and again on Wednesday January 26, 2022 from 10am until 11:45am when a prayer service with Fr. Bob Kabot will take place.
In lieu of flowers a Memorial fund has been established in Gene’s name.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at The Meng Center, Unity Hospice for the outstanding care and compassion shown that they have shown to Gene’ s entire family. Due to health concerns, the family would like to ask that masks be worn, and social distancing be observed.
