Eleanor "Ellie" VanKauwenberg

Eleanor “Ellie” VanKauwenberg, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. In her early life, she worked as an office worker and at Town and Country Golf pro shop, where she met her future husband, Bob. After marriage, she focused on her home and family. She was an avid golfer, and enjoyed cooking and baking, sometimes for the neighbors as well as her family. Ellie also kept a beautiful rose garden and loved to find deals at rummage sales. She was also a volunteer in the community, assisting with several various charities and causes throughout the years.

She is survived by sons; Mike, Mark, Craig (Amy) and daughter Susan Hanaman; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ellie is further survived by her sisters, Rita Houston and Margie Zdziarski, sister in law, Rose Mianecki as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death are her husband Bob, parents, John and Bernice (Gorski) Mianecke, sister and brothers; Jean (Richard) Mikulsky, Ernie (Jan) Minecke and Butch Mianecki, brothers in law, Ken Houston and Casey Zdziarski, and her niece, Caryn Houston.

Per Eleanor’s wishes a private memorial will be held. Please remember her in your prayers.
