Elaine B. Kane

Elaine (Hettmann) Kane, age 82, passed away April 25, 2015 at Angel’s Touch in De Pere. The daughter of the late Edward and Martha (Maternoski) Hettmann was born May 7, 1932 in Glenmore. She attended school in a one room school house in Glenmore. On May 24, 1952 she married Patrick Kane, and he preceded her in death in 2007. Elaine was proud to be a farmer’s wife and later worked for Sunnyside Builders. In addition to being an excellent cook, she enjoyed gardening and vacations. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family in De Pere. Survivors include her children: Laurie (Mark) Henrigillis, Greg (Joan) Kane and Tim (Carla) Kane, all of Denmark; grandchildren: Todd Henrigillis, Megan (Andy) Stodola, Katie Kane, Patrick Kane (special friend Hannah), Rachel (Matt) Kittell and Jena Kane (special friend Joe); great-grandchildren Kaden and Peyton Stodola; brother and sisters: Ken (Aggie) Hettmann, LaVerne (Bob) Kane and Marlene (Jim) DeMoulin; as well as a sister-in-law Kathy Heyroth. In addition to her husband, Pat, Elaine was preceded in death by a granddaughter Angel Henrigillis, parents Ed and Martha Hettmann, brother and sister-in-law Bob and Marion Hettmann, in-laws: Ray and Coral Kane, brother-in-law Dave Heyroth and a nephew Tyler Kane. Family and friends may visit at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, corner of Lourdes Avenue and Suburban Drive, De Pere, on Thursday, April 30, from 9:00am until 10:15am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Thursday with Father Tim Shillcox, O.Praem officiating. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery- Stark. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family. The family would like to extend a warm thank you to the staff of Angel’s Touch, especially Julie and Sheila, the staff of Heartland Hospice, Father Tim Shillcox and Darrel and Linda Hettmann for the care and concern shown to Elaine.
