Edward “Ed” Gagnon, age 70, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 10, 2026, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Ed shared nearly 50 years of marriage with the love of his life, Belinda, whom he met at Denmark High School. He was employed by U.S. Paper Mill/Sonoco until his retirement in 2011. He and Belinda loved spending time together hunting, fishing, enjoying nature, riding UTVs, taking motorcycle trips, spending time at their lake home, and simply being together. They built a life filled with love, family, adventures, laughter, and memories that will never be forgotten.
Ed was a man who was always building something. He loved working with his hands, restoring classic cars and trucks, and taking on projects simply because he could. His pride and joy included his classic 1957 Chevy truck, Chevelle, Firebird, and especially the 1965 Impala SS convertible that he and Belinda were restoring together for their 50th anniversary in July 2027. He was happiest when he was in his garage, working on one of his projects or spending time with the people he loved.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Belinda; his sons, Chris (Laurie) and Eddie, and their families; his brothers, Craig (Rita), Scott (Maryann), Bryan (Julie), and Pat; his sister, Mary Zirbel (Dennis); his grandchildren, Isaac and Kailey; his extended family; and the many friends whose lives he touched.Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Geraldine Gagnon; his brother, Gary Gagnon; and his little dog, Junior (“Chump”).
Family and friends may join in a Celebration of Life at the Cotter Family Gathering Center, 518 Meadow Ln., Wrightstown, on January 16, 2027, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
.Although Ed is no longer here beside us, his memory will live on in the cars and trucks he built, the stories he told, the things he taught us, and, most of all, in the hearts of the people who loved him.
