Earl A. Kufahl joined his wife Sandra in heaven on Saturday, April 5, 2025, following a brief
illness. He was born on January 14, 1939, in Deerfield, Wisconsin to the late William and Clara
Kufahl. Earl met the love of his life in Madison, Wisconsin and they were married on August 6,
1966. She preceded him in death on January 13, 2024.
Earl worked as a grain elevator operator, eventually becoming manager. He started his career in
Evansville, Wisconsin then the work took him to Sheldon, Illinois, where he remained for 15
years until his move to Green Bay, where they remained until his retirement in 2006.
He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, including grandson Toby who lived with them
until entering military service. Together with his wife Sandy, they cared for a young boy named
Cory Burton in his early years when they were in Illinois who later came to live with them in
Green Bay for over ten years. Earl and Sandy loved music, especially gospel and polka music
and they were great dancers, but Earl was a huge Daniel O’Donnell fan. He attended several
concerts in Milwaukee. Always standing backstage after the concert to get an autograph. Earl
would listen to his music for hours. He even received a phone call from Daniel for his birthday
one year.
In addition to being a huge fan of Daniel O’Donnell, he was a huge fan of the Packers and the
Brewers. He did enjoy the Bucks as well, but they could take a back seat to Jeopardy or Wheel of
Fortune, which he watched every night with his son Chad and daughter Lisa. As Sandy would
say, he enjoyed pushing buttons, and was always in control of the TV remote. They enjoyed
many, many trips to the casino to gamble - never winning much, but having a great time being
together with their gambling “buddies”, Sandy’s sister Julie and her husband, Carl. Earl was an
avid fisherman and bowler in his younger years. His family will miss him greatly.
He is survived by his children; Lisa Kufahl, Chad (Connie) Kufahl, Kevin (Sue) Kufahl and Kim
(Joe) Garber; grandchildren; Toby (Caitlin) Kufahl, Cassandra (Marino) Gaeta, Alexis Kufahl,
Gregory Kufahl, Josh (Richell) Kufahl, Aaron (Teresa) Kufahl, Rachael (Chad) Krueger, Chris
(Madeline) Kufahl, Justin Kufahl, Jamie (Luke) Iverson, Derek DeLeon, Melissa (Paul) Frisque,

by his brother, Edward “Eddie” (DaeAnn) Kufahl, sisters in law; Edna Kufahl, Jacqueline
Freund, Roxy Koch, Julie (Carl) Bufalo, Kelly (Chris) Curran, and brother in law, Bill (Sher)
Lawrence, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death are his wife, Sandra, his parents, mother and father in law, Paul and Betty
Lawrence, brothers William “Willie” Kufahl and Robert “Bob” (Beverly) Kufahl, and his sister,
Anne (Kenny) Heiser.
