Douglas "Doug" J. Christman

May 26, 1962 — June 14, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Douglas "Doug" Christman, age 64, of Tisch Mills, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose love for his family and kindness toward others left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Doug was the son of the late Allen and Jeanette Christman.

Doug was the definition of a dedicated family man. He loved fiercely and unconditionally, always putting the needs of those he loved before his own. His greatest pride was his family, and he never missed an opportunity to share stories of their accomplishments, adventures, and the joy they brought to his life.

Known for his kind heart, Doug would help anyone in need without hesitation. Whether it was a neighbor, friend, or complete stranger, he always found a way to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or simply brighten someone's day. His generosity and compassion touched countless lives.

Doug's infectious laugh and warm smile were impossible to miss. Those who knew him often joked that you could hear his laugh from miles away and instantly know he was nearby. He had a remarkable gift for connecting with people, striking up conversations wherever he went and turning strangers into friends within minutes. His outgoing personality and sense of humor made every gathering, outing, or ordinary day more enjoyable.

He had a deep love for the outdoors and found peace in nature. Whether he was casting a line while fishing, tending to his garden, or meticulously caring for his yard, Doug took pride in the beauty he created around him. He found joy in life's simple pleasures and shared that joy freely with those around him.

Doug leaves behind the love of his life, his wife, Shelly; his beloved daughter, Michelle; his cherished grandchildren, Ava "Bean" and Braxton; and Michelle's significant other, Aaron. He also leaves behind his brothers, Keith (Ruth) Christman and Dave (Sandi) Christman; his sister-in-law, Robin (Rick) O'Neil; and numerous nieces and nephews, along with many extended family members, friends, and loved ones who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Jeanette Christman; his brother, Kenneth Christman; and his sister, Kris Christman.

Friends and family may gather to honor Doug at Gathering 43, 623 DePere Road, Denmark, WI 54208, on Friday, June 26, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Though our hearts ache in his absence, we find comfort in the countless memories, lessons, laughter, and love he gave us. Doug's legacy lives on in the family he adored, the friendships he built, and the kindness he showed every day.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in our hearts.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office, Mishicot Ambulance, and the Two Creeks First Responders for their care and compassion.
