Dorothy Shaughnessy

Dorothy Shaughnessy, 90, Allouez, passed away peacefully May 6, 2022, after a short illness. The daughter of Lawrence and Josephine Gilling, Dorothy was born on August 26, 1931. Dorothy graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in 1948.

Dorothy is survived by her sons Patrick Shaughnessy (Pam), and Dennis Shaughnessy, son-in-law Jerry Schaefer, sister Elaine Tracy.
She is further survived by five grandchildren: Kailtyn, Megan and Margaret Shaughnessy, and Ethan and Luke Schaefer.
Preceding Dorothy in death were her son Timothy Shaughnessy, daughter-in-law Valarie Shaughnessy and daughter, Terry Schaefer.
Family would like to thank McCormick Assisted Living for many years of wonderful care. The wonderful staff and compassionate care were always comforting. She could not have been in a better place.

Dorothy enjoyed traveling, seeing Ireland, Australia, Hawaii, and Russia.

Family and friends may gather at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave. De Pere, WI on Monday, May 16, 2022, from 10:00AM to 11:00 AM, a memorial service to follow at 11:00AM with Interment in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
