Dorothy Anne Mahlock, age 94, of De Pere, WI, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, WI. She was born on October 10, 1930 in Green Bay, WI, daughter of the late Louis and Emily (Kellnhauser) Vande Walle.

Dorothy Anne was educated at St. Mary’s Grade School in De Pere, WI in 1948. While There she was a member of the Glee Club and a winner in a National Mathematic Contest. She also attended Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, WI and was employed at Wisconsin State Bank as the 1st drive-up teller in Green Bay. She was a member of the Nazareth Guild, Abbot Pennings Parents Club and St. Joseph Academy Parents Club.

On July 20, 1957, she married Eugene Hoell at St Matthew Church in Allouez. Dorothy Anne had the love of her husband for 47 years. After Gene’s passing on March 23, 2004, Dorothy Anne continued her scrap booking, recording their fascinating trips as a couple and memories of raising two children. Over 35 albums record their love. On October 10, 2009, she married William C. Mahlock at Resurrection Catholic Church in Green Bay, WI.

Dorothy Anne was a charter member of Resurrection Parish and was a member of the Women’s Guild. She was a charter member of the WW II Memorial Society and a member of Kappa Mc Epsilon Fraternity while at Mount Mary. She was extremely interested in creative crafts and sewing. This is in her stitchery and handmade jeweled Christmas ornaments.

Dorothy Anne was a breast cancer survivor and a charter member of the local YWCA Encore Group. She was a member of “Forever Young Singles” at the Green Bay Yacht Club and the Concerned Heart Club. She also Continued to shop and enjoy her trips to Door County.

Dorothy Anne was a daughter, wife, widow, mother, grandmother, step-grandmother and a godmother of 4, Amy Goodseth, Lisa Cicoria, Gerald Cicoria and John Mahlock and a homemaker since 1957. She also had a keen interest in genealogy and family history. Her scrap books can attest to that. She won numerous prizes, including a Christmas Quilt at Resurrection and considered herself LUCKY!

Dorothy Anne had strong faith and enjoyed spending time on their many boats. In her younger years, she was an avid golfer and while a member of the Mystery Hills Golf Course, she had her 1st birdie. She also taught sewing at the Girl Scouts at Resurrection. Dorothy Anne enjoyed winning quarters at Bingo and socializing with friends and vistiors.

Dorothy Anne is survived by a son George (Lori) Hoell of Green Bay, WI; a daughter Gloria (Carl) Sterling of Rockford, IL; a grandson Bryan G. Hoell of Garland, Texas and his partner Kaia and many nieces, nephews and step-family.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by first husband Gene in 2002 and second husband Bill in 2022; three sisters Mary Jane Armbruster, Margie Cicoria and Lorraine Vande Walle; two brothers Carl and Ken Vande Walle; and many brother & sisters-in-laws.

As per Dorothy’s wishes, there will be a mass in the Spring of 2025.

Many thanks for the wonderful care and compassion she received during the last few years at McCormick Assisted Living and end of life care from Hospice and St. Vincent’s Hospital.
