Doris H. Keehan

Doris H. Keehan, age 71 of De Pere, passed away on May 10, 2024. Doris was born on July 20, 1952 to Norbert and Angiline (Hockers) Carter in Green Bay. She graduated from De Pere High School. On February 2, 1974, Doris married Terry Keehan in Green Bay. Doris worked at Fort Howard in accounting, and also worked at Eillien’s Candy, where she was known as “The Candy Lady” by the kids on the block.

Doris adored spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved to attend sporting events and travel, especially winter vacations to Gulf Shores, Alabama. Doris enjoyed boating, knitting, riding bikes, and walking.

She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Terry; children: Ryan, De Pere, David (Meg), Stevens Point; grandchildren: Kate and Connor; sisters: Rosie Peters, Florance, WI, Janet (John) Franken, De Pere; step-brother: Pat (Sue) Rukamp, Hillsdale, WI; in-laws: Patricia (Dennis) Johnson, Costa Mesa, CA, Sue (Pat) Puyleart, Wausau, WI, Jean (Steve) Dix, Green Bay, Chuck (Margaret) Keehan, De Pere; and many nieces and nephews.

Doris was preceded in death by her father, Norbert Carter; mother, Angiline Rukamp; step-father. Harold Rukamp; brother, Russell Carter; and in-laws, Jerome (Bernet) Keehan, Patrick Keehan, Kathleen (Martin) Bunnin, and Mark Peters.

Friends and family may visit on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 9:00 am -10:45 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, De Pere. A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 am with Rev. Mike Ingold officiating.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Allouez Parkside Village and caregivers for taking good care of Doris. Thank you also to Moments Hospice, especially Alexis and Cassie, for their care and help the past few months.
