Doris D. Leiterman

Doris D. Leiterman, age 93, of De Pere, died Friday, December 4, 2020. Doris was born October 12, 1927 to the late Royal and Josephine (Meyer) Ambrose in De Pere, and was a lifelong resident. She married Ed Leiterman at St. Francis Church in De Pere in 1948 and they enjoyed 56 years together. For many years, Doris enjoyed being a waitress at the Union Hotel and formed many life-long relationships there. Doris was gentle and kind, and nothing was more important to her than her love of family.
Doris is survived by her daughter: Sally (Larry) Vande Hei and their children: Holly (Craig) Sturdivant and their daughter Sydney, Dean (Amy) Vande Hei and their daughter Whitney, Mark (Kelly) Vande Hei and their sons Will and Edison; daughter Tammy (Jay) Mocarski and their children: Mason, Spencer, Cooper and Griffin Mocarski; daughter-in-law: Cynthia Leiterman; sisters: Betty Verheyen, Bonnie Peters, Jackie (Ted) Zuelke and Judy (Pat) Sprangers; numerous nieces, nephews and other family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; son Ken; 5 brothers; 3 sisters; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and other family.
Per Doris’s wishes, the family will celebrate her life privately. Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting the family.
