Donald R. Mosher, age 80 of De Pere, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. He was born on June 17, 1944, in Antigo, Wisconsin to the late Raymond and Libby (Frisch) Mosher. He graduated from Antigo High School in 1962, and in 1966, he married Helen Schisel, who preceded him in death on February 14, 2015.
The couple lived in Neenah for a short time, settling in De Pere in 1974. He worked for Packerland Packing as a semi driver, and eventually went on to own his rig, and became “Thunder Road Express”. During his time as an Owner/Operator, he owned a total of four different trucks and traveled a total of over two million miles. When he wasn’t on the road, Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and bowling. He also enjoyed playing cards, any cards, Sheepshead to Poker, especially Texas Hold ‘em. On New Year’s Eve, he and Helen would enjoy a Poker Night with other couples, playing into the new year. He will be deeply missed by his loving family.
He is survived by his children; Michelle (David) Mosher-Gaie, Stacy (Deborah) Mosher and James (Milissa) Mosher, grandchildren; Heather (Kory) Schultz, Collin (Jordyn) Gaie, Lauren Gaie, Mitchell and A.J. Mosher, great grandchildren; Kelsey and Nora. Don is further survived by his brother, Kenneth (significant other, Helen Katchenago) Mosher, sister, Sandy Mosher, sister in law, Carolyn Mosher, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially lifelong friends; Dan and Janet Haefs and Mark and Peggy Haefs.
Preceding him in death are his parents, his wife, Helen and brothers, Milton Mosher and Allen Mosher.
Family and friends may gather on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at St. Mary Catholic Parish, 4805 Sportsman Dr. Ledgeview from 3:00pm until the Mass to be held at 5:00pm.
