Delores "Dee" Noxon

Delores “Dee” Noxon, age 84 of Allouez, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025. She was born on September 10, 1940, in Huron, South Dakota to the late Frank and Arlene (Coates) Phipps. Dee graduated from Staint Leo’s High School in Minot, North Dakota, class of 1958. She went on to Minot State College where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Health in 1962. During college she was involved in Beta Theda Sorority, Newman Club and Women’s Recreation Association. After graduating, she taught Physical Education in Rapid City, South Dakota for two years, in Shawano, Wisconsin for two years and then in Green Bay for 22 years. Dee was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish where she served as Eucharistic Minister and on the Altar Committee. Her volunteer work didn’t end with church. She was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels, delivering meals and a volunteer at the Christian Outreach.

Dee enjoyed and participated in many sports, including; cross country and downhill skiing, tennis, volleyball, basketball, bowling, water skiing, boating, table tennis, pickleball, golfing, biking and hiking-especially in the Colorado Mountains. Dee was a decorated senior Olympian in track and field and basketball qualifying for the national and world games on multiple occasions.

She also enjoyed playing cards and games with family and friends, spending as much time as possible traveling and spending many summers in Colorado near Estes Park. Dee and Owen spent their summers at their mountain cabin they had built themselves, enjoying hiking and fishing with friends and relatives that came to visit. She was a loyal fan of the Packers and UWGB Women’s basketball program. Dee always looked forward to the amazing Monday night Bible study sessions with Sister Pat Clement and Mike Walters. What Dee cherished most was her role as wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her son, Mark (Jamie) Noxon, stepchildren; Cynthia (Tony) Catanese, Dr. James (Marcia) Noxon and Robert (Sara D'Inecco) Noxon, grandchildren; Adrian Noxon, Cassidy Noxon Rev. Tim (Kimbra) Noxon, Jennifer (Joel) Stucky, Kimberly Noxon and Amy Noxon as well as great grandchildren; Clara, James, William, Corin and Laurelin. Dee is further survived by, sister, Marilyn Bohan, brother in law, Les Olson, as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Preceding Dee in death are her parents, her husband of 53 years, Owen Noxon, brother, Bob (Donna) Schaub, sister, Shirley Olson, brother in law, Pat Bohan and sister in law, Miriam (Harry) Bartlett.

Family and friends may visit on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 South Oneida St., Green Bay from 9:00am until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations to Relevant Radio or Christian Outreach may be made is Dee’s memory.
