Daniel L. Wampole

Daniel L. Wampole, age 69 of Denmark, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family following a long courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born on March 6, 1955, in Columbus, Wisconsin, son of the late Royce and Mabel (Lovicott) Wampole. On April 26, 1980, he married Marie Brockman in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Daniel farmed most of his life and had a love for animals. He was an avid sportsman who loved to hunt, fish, and camp. His presence will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marie, his three daughters; Andrea (Carl) Skalitzky, of Poynette, WI, Tracy (Matt) Becker of Lodi, WI and Alicia (Keith) Krish of Denmark, WI, sons; Daniel Wampole of Mississippi and Trevor (Jessica) Wampole of Sauk City, WI, grandchildren; Anna (Paul), Josef, Jakob, Abigail, Johann, Helena, Heinrich, Erika, Stella, Caroline, Clara, Eva, Violet, Darrell (Ava), Fern, Isabelle, Mackenzie, Lawson, Colter, Laura, Travis, Danny, Jersey, Wyatt, Aiden and Royce and a great granddaughter, Emilia. Dan is further survived by his step grandchildren; Charlie, Paisley, Chandler, Dalton, Aaliyah and Maddalyn, two sisters, Shirley (Gary) Schroeder and Sherry Brooks, three brothers, Dave (Diana) Wampole, Duane (Ruth) Wampole and Darrell Wampole, brother in law, Paul Machkovich as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially good friends John and Ashley Eiche.

Preceding him in death are his parents, his sister, Susie Machkovich, brother, Donald (Vivian) Wampole, sister in law, Penny Wampole.

Family and friends may gather on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Cotter Funeral Home, 536 County Road R, Denmark beginning at 12:00pm until 2:45pm with a service to follow at 3:00pm. Inurnment will take place in Spring Prairie Hauge at a later date.
