Cynthia M. Winiecki

September 29, 1962 — December 13, 2023

Cindy M. Winiecki (Kvitek), 61, of Maribel, WI, passed on to a new life with Christ on December 13, 2023, at Meng Hospice Residence in De Pere with family at her side following a courageous battle with breast cancer. Cindy was born to John & Marleen (Muench) Kvitek on September 29, 1962. She was a member of the 1980 graduating class at Denmark High School. Cindy married Greg Winiecki in 1983 and built an amazing life together, raising their children David and Lori and living on the same square country mile where she grew up. Their own slice of heaven. She is a proud grandmother to four wonderful grandsons whom she cherished profoundly.

She worked for Denmark State Bank for 27 years where she formed countless meaningful relationships with colleagues, customers, and members of the wider community. Cindy thoroughly loved serving God and her parish community as a lifelong member of Holy Trinity, playing the organ there, at St. Joseph in Kellnersville and any other parish in need of help, with Dad singing alongside her. They were a beautiful duet. The people she knew meant the world to her and she was so proud to support them throughout all aspects of their lives in the work and ministry she did.

She had a wonderful sense of humor, and you never knew she was picking on you until it was too late! Mom supported us all so much throughout our lives, in all of our endeavors, and fostered the love of learning. She loved to travel near and far with her family and made treasured memories in places like the Czech Republic, Florida, Door County, St. Germain, and more. She especially loved our annual fishing trip where she would quietly out-catch the rest of us while dropping fish in our laps to remove them from the hook so dirty hands didn’t have to turn the pages of the books she loved to read. She loved to thrift and enjoy a glass of wine. She was very active, enjoying running, long bike rides, and walks in the beautiful countryside. Her passion for sewing, quilting, canning, and anything homemade was so creative and beautiful, just like her. May she be known for her heart of gold and a glowing smile that she held onto through the very end.

She is survived by her husband and best friend of 40+ years, Greg Winiecki, who never left her side. Also, their son, David (Brianna) Winiecki, and their sons, Mason, Aden, and Asher, and their daughter, Lori (Brian) Borowski, and their son Arthur. Her siblings: brothers Allen (Jill) Kvitek and Roger (Lynn) Kvitek and her sister, Karen Kvitek; brothers and sisters-in-law Janice (Don) Siebold, Carol (Ron) Phillips, Marilyn (Frank) Cayemberg, Jerry (Sue) Winiecki, Karen (Paul) Hazaert, Theresa (John) Steffek and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, John and Marleen Kvitek, father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Joan Winiecki (Pommier), and brother-in-law, Ronald Winiecki.
