Cletus Benedict Allen

Cletus Benedict Allen, age 77, of De Pere, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was hardworking his whole life and taught others the same values. He was a father of 9, farmer, builder, mechanic, problem solver, and he always had many ongoing projects. He was a teacher of many things, empowered others to learn new skills and was faithful to the church. He was born on June 22, 1944 in Green Bay, WI to the late Alvin and Alice (Vanden Berg) Allen. He married Theresa Maternoski on October 16, 1965 at St. Mary Church Glenmore.
He is survived by his children Chris (Debbie), Lisa (Keith) Brunner, Heidi (Bill), Steve (Missy), Abraham (Amy), Suzy (Tom), Anita (Rocky) Koenig, Tina (Nick), Tammy (Matt); MANY grandchildren and great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by sisters Bonnie Geurts, Yvonne Baumann; brothers, James, Bob, Kevin, Russel (Sineenath).
He was preceded in death by his wife Theresa, parents, siblings: Larry, Leslie, Josie, Gerilynn and parents-in-law Joseph & Theresa Maternoski.
The family would like to thank the Unity Hospice team and those who have put their heart into caring for him during this difficult time.
There will be a visitation at St. Mary Church, Glenmore, 5840 Big Apple Road, De Pere from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm, on Friday, May 6, 2022 with a prayer service to conclude the evening. On Saturday, May 7, 2022, there will be a 9:00 am mass with no formal showing before at St. Mary Church, Glenmore, 5840 Big Apple Road, De Pere. Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting the family.
