Charlotte "Char" Christensen

Charlotte “Char” Christensen, age 81, of Denmark, WI passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at her home on Monday, November 25, 2024.

She was born on October 29, 1943, daughter of Otto Habeck and Luella Van Laanen (Gehrke). On August 25, 1962, she married Melvin “Mel” Christensen at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Denmark.

Char worked for Diana Manufacturing until the time of her retirement. She enjoyed crocheting, snowmobiling, golfing, gambling, gardening and growing flowers.

Char is survived by her children Cheryl “Sherry” (Rick) Martinson, Michael Christensen, Terry (fiancé’ Sanjay Senanayake) Adams; grandchildren Collin Christensen, Hanna (Alex) Zenil, Jared Martinson and Haylee Martinson, as well as her brother Earl (Shirley) Habeck, brother-in-law Dale Christensen and aunt/uncle Roger (Rock) and Elsie Skaletski. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother Dale.

Family and friends may gather on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Cotter Funeral Home 536 County Road R, Denmark, WI 54208 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm with funeral services to be at 3:00 pm with Rev. Andrew Zoerb officiating. Burial will be in West Danish Cemetery in Denmark, WI.
