Catherine Johanna Gossen

The family of Catherine Gossen sadly announce her death on January 7, 2023. She left us very peacefully, in the care of the Unity Hospice Meng Residence.

Catherine was born to James F. and Marie E. (Lasee) Wicker on Feb 9,1925. Catherine married Francis J. Gossen on May 21, 1949. Francis died January 16,1992.

They had a special life on the farm they bought across the road from where Catherine grew up. They had six children, Jim and Patty(deceased), Denis and Kay, Patti and Louie, Anne and Hardy, Al and Diane, Lee and Amy. She was proud to be a grandma, great-grandma and a great-great-grandma.

Catherine was the last of the Wicker children. Preceding her were Clarence, Lauretta, Murella, Genevieve, Ignatius, Sr. Marie Therese, Bernard, Caroline and Richard. It wasn't easy being the last surviving sibling.

Rest in peace Mom.

We love you always.

Family and friends may visit at St. Mary Catholic Church - Glenmore, 5832 Big Apple Rd, De Pere, on Thursday, January 12, from 9:30am until 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with Fr. Xavier Amirtham officiating. Burial will follow mass in the church cemetery. Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting the family.
