Carol A. LaCourt, 81 of Denmark passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026 at Scandinavian Court Assisted Living with her family by her side. She was born on March 4, 1945 to Richard and Grace (Larsen) LaCourt. Carol attended Riverview Grade School and then Denmark High School graduating in 1963. She attended the Vocational School before being hired at Wisconsin Public Service in 1964. She did data-entry work at the downtown office for 32 years before being transferred to the Ashwaubenon Service Center. She retired in 2010 with 45 years of service. She volunteered at Bellin Hospital and also worked at the Village of Denmark election polls. Carol enjoyed going to her nieces and nephew school activities and later on her great-nieces and nephew school activities.
She was very passionate about counted cross-stitch and crocheting afghans. Her greatest accomplishment was when she cross-stitched blocks for bed spreads for her nieces and nephew. She made over 340 pieces for other people.
Survived by her brother and sister-in-law Roger and Annette LaCourt, Denmark; niece and nephew Paul and Lorie LaCourt, Maribel, Jody and Dean Gorall, Minnesota, Steve Otradovec, Denmark; great-nieces and nephew Sarah and Ryan Mader, DePere, Abby and Dan Yost, Ohio, Brittany LaCourt, Maribel, John and Emily Otradovec, Minnesota; great-great niece Emilia Mader, DePere.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and niece Kathy Otradovec.
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 23, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Cotter Funeral Home, Denmark with a prayer service to conclude the night. Visitation will continue on Friday, July 24 at Christ Lutheran Church, 503 Grand Ave, Denmark from 9:00am to 10:45am. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am with Pastor James Heffner officiating. Carol’s burial is following the service at East Danish Cemetery next to her grandparents Harvey and Amanda Larsen.
Special thanks to her neighbors Darrel and Sarah Capelle and their boys for all their help over the years. Also, to her dear friends Liz Thiele, Janet Pollack, and Linda Maleport, and the girls at Scandinavian Court.
