Carl H. Reckelberg, age 94 of Eaton, passed away early Tuesday, December 16, 2025. He was born in the town of Montpelier on January 26, 1931, to the late William and Martha (Mueller) Reckelberg. He graduated from Luxemberg high school, class of 1948. He was then drafted into the Army and served his country in Korea.
On June 15, 1957, he married Joyce Radey in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Henrysville. He worked at FMC for over 30 years, retiring in 1994. After retirement, he enjoyed playing cards, traveling with Joyce and he also helped keep up Emanuel Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Joyce, sons; Gary (Bev), Tim (Debra), Scott and Randy, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his sisters Dorothy Tess, Phyllis Erichsen, and Laverne Dax, sisters in law, Sally Reckelberg and Delores Reckelberg, brother in law, Jim Radey as well as many other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death are his parents, brothers, Harold (Bernice) Reckelberg, William and Gordon, sister, Lois (Kenneth) Siegmund, brothers in law, Harlan Tess, Leon Dax and Billy Erichsen as well as his mother and father in law, Anton and Aurelia Radey.
Family and friends may visit on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 3186 Eaton Rd. Bellevue, from 9:00am until 11:00am, with the service to follow at 11:15am. Military honors to follow. Pastor Aaron Schultz officiating. Burial will take place at Emmanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Henrysville.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses from Aseracare Hospice as well as the caregivers from Scandinavian Court in Denmark for all of the wonderful care given to Carl.
