Beverly VanGheem

Apr 24, 1943 — Sep 8, 2026

Beverly VanGheem, age 83, of De Pere, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026. She was born on April 24, 1943, in Appleton, Wisconsin, to Carl and Connie (Reinkober) Berrens. She married Jules VanGheem on June 27, 1964, and together they had five children. Beverly attended Chilton High School and focused most of her life on caring for her children and the family home. She and Jules also spent many years working together as a truck-driving team for Princl Trucking and Packerland Transport, sharing many miles and experiences along the road. She was a good cook and enjoyed always having dogs around the house. Several times she was able to travel to Germany and often fulfilled her love of travel to other destinations. In her spare time, you could often find her enjoying a breakfast out with family, working with ceramics, bowling, sipping on a glass of wine or an Old Fashioned, or settling in to enjoy her favorite TV shows.

Beverly had a way of making everyone feel welcome and loved; her friendly nature and ability to strike up a conversation with just about anyone left a lasting impression on those who met her.

Survivors include her daughter Kim (Rod) Keever and their daughter Courtney (Edgar) Lantz and their children (great-grandchildren) Kaylee, Logan and Andrew; son Michael VanGheem; son Paul (Amy) VanGheem and their children: Teegan (special friend Alyssa), Colton (special friend Raelyn), Brooklyn (special friend Greyson) and Lauren; daughter Kate and her daughter Cassie and her children (great-grandchildren) Lizzy and Jason; sisters: Barb (Joe) Schmitz, Mary Meisenburg and Gail (John) Meyer; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Glen (Sue) VanGheem, Lois Geyso and Mick Dietzen; dear friends Carl and Delores Frelich; as well as nieces, nephews, other family and beloved dogs: Henry, Taz and Charlie.

In addition to her parents and husband, Julies, Beverly was preceded in death by her daughter: Connie Jo; sister Maggie; brother-in-law: Bob Geyso; sister-in-law Charlene; Jules’ parents: Edmund and Caroline VanGheem, and dogs Little Bit, Max and Abby.

Per Beverly’s wishes, a private celebration of life will be held at a future date.

Our family would like to thank the caregivers at Bristol Hospice and Aurora BayCare for their care of Beverly.
