Beverly Ann Johnson (nee Sanner), a long-time resident of Leesburg, Fla., and most recently, DePere, Wis., died April 10, 2026, at the age of 92.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bruce N. Johnson.
Beverly grew up in Harrisburg, Pa., the daughter of the late Catherine and Earl Sanner. She graduated from John Harris School and earned her R.N. degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. She enjoyed a nursing career, working in several Illinois towns and as a hospice nurse in Lake County, Fla.
Friends remember her as outgoing and kind. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, and spending time with her family. She loved taking her grandchildren to Disney World.
Beverly was a devoted mother. She ferried her children to music, art, and horseback riding lessons, as well as sports practices. She was an enthusiastic fan at her son, Bruce’s basketball games. She encouraged her children to study and work hard for good grades. She was always willing to listen and offer sage advice.
Beverly is survived by her four children: Linda Stein (Phil) of Cheltenham, Pa.; Dr. Michelle Nazari (Mehdi) of Wauwatosa, Wis.; Bruce N. Johnson II (Maureen) of Brussels, Wis.; and the Rev. Tamera Jacobi (Mark) of Crown Point, Ind.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Arielle Miller (Steve) and Zachary Stein (Jill); Megan Lancour (Ryan), Keith Thompson (Heather Phillips), Hannah Iyamah, Gabrielle Iyamah (Jeremy Pinter), Maribeth Ellis (Mathew), Bruce “Riley” Johnson (Melissa), Connor Johnson (Donna), Adalyn Rockwood (Tyler), Emma Knight (Jake), and Annie Jacobi.
And her great-grandchildren: Eli and Avi Miller; Colin Lancour, Rooney Thompson, Cosmo Thompson, Sterling Pinter, Marvel Pinter; Danny, Declan, and Jack Ellis, Penelope “Pepper” Johnson, Aidan, Allannah and Eire Johnson, Wyatt, Norah, Owen, and Brogen Rockwood; Aria Stamey and River Knight.
Sadly, she was predeceased by her great-grandson, Dominic Lancour.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Drive, Green Bay, WI, with Fr. Robert Kollath officiating.
Internment will be private at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Leesburg, Fla.
Contributions in her name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
