Betty Naumann

Betty Naumann, age 80 of Allouez, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born on April 5, 1944, to the late Elmer and Marion (Noskowiak) Nonnemacher. She graduated from Lincoln High School, married and started her family in Manitowoc, moving to Green Bay in 1969.

 Betty’s life was built around the people she loved. She was passionate about taking care of others, creating a home and sharing it, cooking and baking. She was quite famous for her chocolate chip cookies. She also enjoyed spending time with her close friends, many of whom have been friends for over 50 years. She loved her family and friends deeply and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children; Tim (Anne) Naumann and Cindy (Joe) VanderMeer, grandchildren; Connor (Olivia Kettleson) Naumann, Erin Naumann, Allison VanderMeer and Lexi VanderMeer. Betty is further survived by her brother, Robert Nonnemacher, nieces and nephew; Jeff (Mary) Nonnemacher and Jennifer Nonnemacher as well as other relatives and friends, including her special friend, Roy Blom.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Joan Nonnemacher, as well as nephew, Steven Nonnemacher.

Family and friends may gather on Friday, October 4, 2024, at St. Matthew Catholic Parish, 130 St. Matthew Street, Green Bay, WI 54301 from 10:00 am until 10:45 am, with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Betty’s name to either the Alzheimer’s Association (920-469-2110) or Meals on Wheels (ADRC 920-448-4312), both in the Green Bay area.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Angels Touch Assisted Living & Memory Care, Moments Hospice and Unity Hospice for the wonderful care given to Betty.
