Audrey June Knuth

June 15, 1939 — April 29, 2026

Maribel

Audrey Knuth, age 86, of Maribel, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, April 29, 2026, with her loving family by her side at Aurora Hospital, Manitowoc.

Audrey was born on June 15, 1939, in Outagamie County daughter of the late John and Milda (Kielman) Stolzman. Audrey was in the first graduating class at Fox Valley Lutheran High School. She followed her dream of getting a teaching degree at Martin Luther College in Minnesota. She received her call to teach at St. John’s Lutheran School in Maribel, WI where she met the love of her life, Norman Knuth. On February 14, 1961, (appropriately Valentine’s Day) Audrey was married to Norman at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Maribel, WI. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2022.

Audrey worked along with Norman and Butch on the family farm. Together they earned many awards including Manitowoc County Herd of the Year in 1979.

Audrey was a wonderful mother to her children: Sheri, Butch, and Robin. Audrey loved her family and she loved to cook and bake for them. She made birthdays the most special day of the year and would always cook their favorite meal. She loved to host parties and they enjoyed many card playing groups and had many friends. The parties continued at Shady Lane with her special friends: Mary, Dori, Gladys, and Mitzi. She loved a good glass of wine, kimmel or moonshine with friends. Another love of hers was watching the tractor pulls where her competitive spirit always cheered for the John Deere green and gold. She loved technology and Amazon and the independence they gave her. She found joy in everything she did and passed it on to everyone around her.

Audrey’s favorite saying was “If I can put a smile on someone’s face, then it puts a smile on mine”.

Audrey is survived by her two daughters: Sheri (Dennis) Kittell and Robin (Steve) Shimanek; 4 grandchildren: Samantha (Nick) Roth, Brooke Kittell, Brittany (Adam) Brouchoud, and Josh (Sarah) Shimanek; 8 great grandchildren: Maci and Kyli Roth; Lily, Hailey and Landyn Brouchoud; and Ella, Ivy and Skye Shimanek; three brothers: Ken (Dawn) Stolzman, Larry (Connie) Stolzman, and John (Mary) Stolzman. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Norman and son, Norman (Butch) Knuth III; her father and mother, John and Milda Stolzman; her mother and father-in-law, Norman and Alma Knuth; three sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Florence (Cal) Haskins, Marcy (Elmer) Retzlaff, and Virginia (Wayne) Neuser.
