Arlene M. Hasseler, 94 of De Pere, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2024. The daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Kowalczyk) Mikulsky was born December 5, 1929 in Pine Grove. Arlene married James Hasseler on September 16, 1950 at Holy Trinity in Pine Grove.
Arlene worked at Austin Straubel Airport in Green Bay for 25 years and also worked at Thomas Fries Furniture for 15 years. She was a lifelong member of St. Francis Xavier in De Pere, and faithfully volunteered as a Eucharistic Minister. Arlene had a talent for gardening and was an excellent baker.
She is survived by her children: James (Joan) Hasseler, Barbara Hasseler, Tom (Jill) Hasseler, Paul (Debby) Hasseler, Barbara (Richard) Lemke, and Liz (Rick) Scray; grandchildren: Betsy, Eric, Sarah, Phil, Brian, Kaitlin, Nathan, Nick, Melissa, Christina, Jacob, and Zach; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law Larry Moens. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband James in 1988; her son, Mark; her parents, Frank and Anna (Kowalczyk) Mikulsky; her brother, Richard (Jean) Mikulsky; her sisters, Marion (Fred) Pirozzoli, Marjorie (Robert) Wallenfang, Beatrice Moens and Theresa (Peter) Maldonado; father and mother-in-law John and Mabel Hasseler; brothers-in-law, John Hasseler, Gene (Rosemary) Hasseler; sisters-in-law; Carol (Charles) Frkovich, Gloria (Charles) Henn, Peggy (Charles) Mathys and Irene (Cliff) Tarkowski.
Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 10:00am until 11:15 am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan St, De Pere. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am with Fr. Josuva Arulanandu officiating. Entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
Arlene’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Woodside Lutheran Home and Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care, and to Fr. Mike and Fr. Josuva from St. Francis Xavier for their support and prayers.
