Anna Mae Blazer

Anna Mae Blazer, of Maribel, 89, passed away peacefully July 4, 2022. Born December 5, 1932, to the late Martin and Rose (Boehm) Smits in Suring, Wisconsin. Anna Mae was devoted to her family, she was a homemaker for many years while her children were growing up. She raised Suffolk sheep and she and her son, Greg were involved with them at the Manitowoc County Fair. Anna Mae became a CNA and took care of many wonderful elderly people; she always had a garden and had an awful lot of strength and stamina. She will be sadly missed by everyone, including her many friends, neighbors, and her Maribel Card Club, and Maribel Homemakers. Anna Mae was a very devoted Catholic all of her life, and was always devoted to her family.

Anna Mae is survived by her children, Milton, Cheryl, Jeff (Debi Kudick), Brian (Kathy), Diane (Eddy) McKenna, Bradley (Diane) and Greg; brother, George (Doris) Smits; grandchildren, Amber, Laura, Holly, Sara, Stacy, Carolyn, Amanda, Anthony, Brandon, Nathan, Brooklyn, Haley, Alli, Ashley, Cody, and Michael; and several great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother, George (Doris) Smits.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Blazer; her parents, an infant brother, John; and sister, Agnes; other siblings, Stella (Charlie) Heaney, Norbert (Harriet) Smits, Sylvia (Quentin) Christenson, Martin (Alice) Smits and Isabel (Ellis) Mc Mahon; and daughter-in-law, LeeAnn Blazer.

The family would like to thank the caregivers from Autumn’s Promise Assisted Living, as well as Unity Hospice.

Visitation will be Friday July 8, 2022, from 9am until 10:45am at St. James Catholic Church (18228 County Road R, Denmark) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am, Farther Robert Rank officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting the family.
