Andrew J. “Andy” Warpinski“I had a great time with all my girlies…It’s our responsibility to keep them safe. Love you all.” A variation of this often followed a weekend with his four grandkids at Grandpa and Grandma’s land. He had one of those weekends in the days leading up to him joining his mother, father, and sister in eternal life. “Grandpa” held his final grandkid fishing tournament and planted his last garden in the days before he passed away on May 17, 2021.
Andy was born September 24, 1959 in Green Bay, WI to Reginald and Shirley (Glaser) Warpinski. He graduated from Denmark High School and worked his way up through the years as a steamfitter, a trade that culminated in starting a successful mechanical contracting company, Awarp Mechanical. Andy was an avid sportsman and enjoyed all forms of fishing, hunting, and being outside. Never to be outdone, he even married his wife, Sandy, twice! Over the last few years, as Andy’s health deteriorated, he cared most about one thing – making sure his family and friends had a space to enjoy the outdoors and each other’s’ company. Enjoying the fresh air and abundant wildlife with his wonderful wife was all he needed to put a smile on his face. Finding Andy was typically pretty easy…he was either sitting in a chair watching for wildlife, riding around with Sandy on their Pioneer, or sitting next to Sandy at a local watering hole bragging about his four kids and grandkids.
Andy is survived by his wife, Sandy Warpinski; four children, Ryan Warpinski (Erin) of Waunakee, WI, Jessica Mondloch (Kristofer) of Darboy, WI, Brandon Warpinski of Honolulu, HI, Brittany Warpinski of Scottsdale, AZ; four grandchildren, Greta and Scarlett Warpinski, and Harper and Macklyn Mondloch; nine brothers and sisters, Cindy (Craig) Chicker of Richland Center, WI, Mike (Linda) Warpinski of Maribel, WI, Patti (Steve) Paider of Denmark, WI, Vicki Pagano and Larry Cohen of Safety Harbor, FL, Tina and Christian Klemm of Stuttgart, Germany, Dan and Sue Warpinski of Churchton, MD, Ann Roberts of Maribel, WI, Sam and Lynn Warpinski of Wayside, WI, and Jesse Warpinski and Cindy Coppens of Suamico, WI; and many nieces and nephews.
Andy was also preceded in death by his parents and sister, Susie Hookstadt.
