Alvin C. Miller, 99, Denmark, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 11, 2025, with his son Dave by his side. He was born on November 25, 1925, son of the late Clarence and Ella (Stuebs) Miller. Alvin married the love of his life, Ruth Klipstine on August 29,1953 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, De Pere. She preceded him in death on Oct. 29, 2011, after 58 years of marriage.
Alvin was a lifelong farmer. He and Ruth purchased their farm in 1953, and after serving in the U. S. Army, stationed in Germany in 1955, they worked together side by side on their family farm and raised their five children. Alvin was an active member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Denmark.
After retiring and selling the farm to their son Dave, Alvin continued working on the farm planting and harvesting crops, doing maintenance on the equipment, and sharing his farming expertise. He was still involved watching over the daily farming activities until his passing.
His hardworking hands are now at rest.
He will be sadly missed by his children: Larry & Rita Miller, Karen & Buster Schleif, Tim & Becky Miller, Dave Miller, and Steve & Lisa Miller.
Grandchildren/great grandchildren: Lisa & Brock Van De Ven, Grace, Kaleb; Brian & Alyssa Miller.; Andy & Natalie Schleif, Nathaniel, Jacob, Eva; Nicole & Adam Norder, Emma, Hailey; Heather & Andy Ball, Harper, Ellisen; Matt & Martha Miller, Althea; Tyler & Alex Miller, Tatum; Zach & Krissy Miller, Emerson; and step grandchildren; Karly, Brady and Dane Skaletski.
In-laws: Norma Miller, Elaine Muesbeck, Ralph & Janet Klipstine, Lois & Dave McAllister, Bill & Peggy Klipstine. Godchildren: Dale Dahlke, Randy Muesbeck, Lori Zuege, and many nieces and nephews.
Alvin was preceded in death by his sister and brother in law, Pearl & Roland Dahlke; brother Roy Miller, stepmother Edna Miller, father and mother-in-law Alfred and Elsie Klipstine, daughter-in-law Pam Miller, in-laws Don Muesbeck, Carol & Don Hutjens, godchild Dan Muesbeck, and niece Tammy Batten.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 435 W Wisconsin Ave, Denmark WI 54208 beginning at 9:00am until the time of service to follow at 11:30am. Pastor Andy Zoerb officiating.
A memorial fund has been established at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church
