Alice Georgianna Hazaert

Alice Georgianna Hazaert, 88, Town of Glenmore, passed away at home on Friday, November 26, 2021.  

Daughter of Henry and Cecilia VanHulst, born February 20, 1933. Alice married Richard Hazaert on May 15, 1954. The wife of a dairy farmer Alice shared in the chores while at the same time managing to care for her home and for her 9 children. Alice was selfless, she was always looking after the needs of others. With a devotion to the Blessed Mother, and to the Most Holy Rosary, Alice spent countless hours in prayer. Alice was humble and kind, she was a gift to us all, we will cherish her memory forever!         

Alice is survived by her children, Linda (Louis) Traeger, daughter Barbara (Dale) Alger, son Dan (Pam) Hazaert, daughter Karen (Tom) Pozza, son Don (fiancée Renee Lezotte) Hazaert, daughter Carol (Dave) Rogan and daughter Kathy Mansbridge, 25 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard Hazaert, son Richard Allen Hazaert, son Dennis Wayne Hazaert, son-in-law Adrian Mansbridge, sister Florence (Wally) Morrison, sister Evelyn (Bob) Rausch, brother-in-law Melvin Hazaert, sister-in-law Joyce Beaudry, sister-in law Maryann Stein.

Special thank you to Unity Hospice and to granddaughter, Melissa Allen (RN), for offering her time, her talents and her medical expertise so that Alice could spend her final days at home with her family.

Family and friends may visit at Saint Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview, from 9:00-10:45 am on Thursday, December 2, 2021. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am with Fr. Mike Ingold officiating. Lunch to follow at the Swan Club, 875 Heritage Road, DePere, WI. Burial will be at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
