Alan E. Golueke

Alan Golueke, age 68 of Green Bay, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at his home. He was born on December 4, 1956, in Green Bay to the late Nicholas and Alberta (Giese) Golueke. Even before graduating from Green Bay East High School in 1974, he started attending and then racing stock cars all across the state. He built his own stock car. Al won 1976 FRRC Sportsman Champion, was a past FRRC officer, and was inducted to the FRRC Circle of Fame in 2020, this was the award he was most proud of. He made many friends throughout the circuit, so when Al was done with his racing career, he stayed with in the community, rebuilding carburetors for many of the stock cars in the area. He worked for over 38 years at Baril Engine in Green Bay. Al enjoyed fishing and loved photography, but he especially loved the time he spent with his family. Never having children of his own, his nieces and nephews became his children. He was thrilled when they began having children of their own, so he was able to spend time with another generation. He was a family man at heart. 

He is survived by his sister, Dianne Kriegel, sister in law, Sue Golueke, nieces and nephews; William (Sherri) Kriegel, Joseph (Dawn) Kriegel, Andrew (Shannon) Kriegel and Jessica (Charles Cutting) Kriegel. Al is further survived by his great nieces and nephews; Zack, Nick, Matt, Mariah, Emily and William as well as many other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents, his brother, Dennis Golueke and brother in law, Bill Kriegel.

Family and friends may gather on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave, De Pere, from 10am until noon, with the service to be held at noon.
