Adolph Codr, of Denmark, passed away on August 9, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on January 25, 1935, in Linwood, Nebraska, he was the son of William and Lillian (Kucera) Codr. On February 27, 1960, he married Loretta Novacek in Bruno, Nebraska. Adolph dedicated much of his life to farming, a profession he loved dearly. He later transitioned into working for other farmers until his well-deserved retirement.
Adolph was a man of many talents and interests. He had a knack for puzzles, enjoyed polka music, and found joy in painting by numbers where he created many frame-worthy pieces. Even as he faced various health challenges throughout his life, he always kept his hands busy, embodying a spirit of resilience that inspired those around him.
Adolph proudly served in the National Guard for eight years and was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus. But, above all, he cherished his family.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta; sons: Eugene (friend Dawn), Kenneth (friend Debbie), Bill and Kevin (Jennifer); grandsons Tylr (friend Madi), Jesse (Cody) and Dylan; step-grandson Caleb (fiancé Dakota Mendez) and their daughter Blair; great-grandsons: Miguel and Wyatt Matthew; sister Delores Styskal; brother in law Clarence Novacek; sisters in law Cindy Codr and Adeline Novacek; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
In addition to his parents, William and Lillian, he was preceded in death by his brother Arnold Codr; brothers-in-law: Joey, Dennis and Arthur Novacek.
