Wylie Lom

April 28, 1977 — April 24, 2024

Wylie Roger Lom unexpectedly passed away on April 24, 2024.

Wylie, was born April 28th, 1977 in Appleton, WI, to Roger and Lynn Lom. He grew up as the only boy amongst his four sisters in Seymour, Wisconsin. He loved to play sports, and watch his favorite sports teams, the Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers. Wylie graduated salutatorian from Seymour High School in 1995.

After his graduation Wylie went on to attend the University of Oshkosh, and then the University of Wisconsin where he graduated in the top 3 of his class with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree in 2002. Wylie always spoke of how he was extremely proud of attending the University of Wisconsin, and his love for the memories he created there with his friends.

Wylie and Rebecca were married in January 2017 in Georgetown, Grand Cayman.

Wylie was currently employed as a clinical pharmacist for Aurora Hospital in Green Bay, where he enjoyed using his vast twenty-five plus years of experience and knowledge to best assess and help doctors and patients.

Wylie’s family was of utmost importance to him. He loved being a dad and his children always put a smile on his face. Family time was all that he ever wanted, and cherished. His children have many great memories, but they will always remember weekend “Starbie” and Kwik Trip runs, night time family swimming, golfing, attending Packer, Badger, and Brewer games, whiffle ball family games in the front yard, and the tradition of “ice cream Sunday” which he took on after Rebecca and Wylie were married.

Wylie and Rebecca shared many memories with their travels, and always made sure they incorporated a trip to an MLB stadium in their itinerary. Family time was their most prized possession.

Wylie became a real “dog” dad, and would often be seen on his days off and weekends being pulled on walks by his girls Josie, Harper, & Darcy. He was known for his selfies with “his girls”, and was the preferred lap of choice out of the family.

Wylie was a huge organizer like this father Roger, and kept the family home organized. If Rebecca ever had a project or something needing to be done, he was on it right away…. sometimes without even being asked to do. He had a close relationship with his father, and enjoyed the time spent together going yearly to the Iola car show, rides in the corvette, and other car shows. Wylie was an avid reader and had a love of learning new things like his mother, Lynn. Wylie was always selfless, and put his family’s needs before his own. To know him was to truly love him. As we are sad that he is not with us anymore, we know that Wylie is now in heaven, riding in the corvette with Roger or venturing on motorcycle rides together.

Wylie is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Baer), loving children, Raina and Alexander, and his stepchildren Kyan and Kiera Redling; his mother, Lynn Lom; sisters, Heather (Dan Graf) Lom, Erin (Greg) Reisimer, Amber (Jason) Henke, and Caley Erban; in laws, Rick and Ginny Baer; nieces and nephews, Reis and Aubry Schweiner, Jaden and Cambrie Reisimer; aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Wylie is predeceased in death by his loving father, Roger Lom.
