William G. Bill Watermolen, 57, of DePere passed away at home Thursday, June 21, 2012 of natural causes. He was born on March 21, 1955 in Green Bay to Clayton and LaVerne (VanEss) Haum. Clayton passed away when Bill was an infant. His mother later married Kenneth Watermolen who adopted Bill and his three older brothers. Bill graduated from West High School in 1973. He married Linda Holder on March 1, 1975 at St. Agnes Church in Green Bay. Bill retired from Wisconsin Public Service in December 2010 after over 30 years of service. Bill enjoyed collecting farm implements and antiques. He was an avid horseman and loved animals of all kinds, especially his favorite companions Boomer and Dexter. Bill and Linda stabled horses and he could always be found hard at work taking care of them. Bill was a soft spoken, independent soul who let his actions do his talking. He is survived by his loving wife Linda; two children: Joshua, DePere; Andrea, Madison, brothers and sister: Randy and Souix; Bonduel; James and Ann, Green Bay; Richard and Sherri, Suring; John and Stacy, Appleton; Mary and Pat McNamara, Green Bay; Douglas and Diane, Whiting, Maine; Paul, Pulaski; Joseph and Mary, Green Bay; and many nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Harry and Margaret VanEss; and George and Madeline Haum. Family and friends may call Monday, June 25, 2012 at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Avenue, DePere, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. James Conradt officiating. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Bill's name.
