William Foster Jr. Harrison

William F. “Bill” Harrison, Jr., 85, passed away Sunday morning, October 8, 2017, at Allouez Parkside Village. He was born in Green Bay to the late William and Emily (Harthun) Harrison, Sr. Bill was a 1949 graduate of Green Bay East High School and then went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering at UW Madison. He later earned his law degree at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN. On June 14, 1952 he married Laurelle Menard. Together he and Laurelle shared 51 loving years of marriage before Laurelle preceded him in death in 2003. After working at Control Data in Bloomington, MN, Bill began a career at St. Norbert College in 1965. He started there as Registrar, then taught business law and computer science until his retirement in January of 1997. He was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church and a Norbertine Associate. Bill enjoyed camping, cooking, photography, playing bridge, music and attending concerts. In the last eleven years of his life, Bill was blessed with the friendship of Nancy VandenBusch. Her loving care for Bill, especially these past few months will always be remembered by his family. Bill is survived by his very dear friend, Nancy VandenBusch; his seven children, Holly (James) Martin, Linda (Thomas) Hermans, Mark (Kristine) Harrison, Scott (Mary-Ann) Harrison, Chad (Julie) Harrison, James (Lynn) Harrison, Keith (Phyllis) Harrison; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Denise Harrison, Loyce Fandam; brother-in-law, Dr. Thomas Beno; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Harrison; sister, Muriel (Bernard) Spears; sister-in-law, Louvain Beno; brothers-in-law, Phillip Rothin and Arthur Fandam. Family and friends may visit at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Dr., Allouez, on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 9:00am until 11:15am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Bill at 11:30am at the church with Bishop Robert Morneau officiating. Interment in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
