Wes Neal, 51, DePere, passed away unexpectedly on September 12, 2011, while on business in the Netherlands. He was born on December 25, 1959, in Milwaukee, WI. The love of his life since the age of 19 was his wife, Amy. For the past 31 years they did everything together and were each other’s best friend. Wes’ greatest legacy is the loving life he created with his wife Amy and their three boys. Wes enjoyed remodeling projects with Noah, was proud working side by side with Jacob at Mondi and loved playing catch with Mack. He adored his new granddaughter, Amber Grace and spent time reading and playing with her every chance he got. Wes served his country in the United States Navy for nine years and was currently working for Mondi Akrosil, LLC. Wes had a great work ethic, drive, and determination and was a man of honesty and integrity. He had a competitive spirit with golf, bean bag toss, and well, everything else. He enjoyed golfing with his sons and best friend, Bob Pointer and also loved watching Packer games. Wes also enjoyed deer hunting every fall with his brother Tim and nephews Adam and Ryan and sons Jacob and Mack. Wes, Amy and the boys also made many memories on their vacations with the Pointer Family. Wes was very resourceful, and there was nothing he couldn’t fix. Wes will be deeply missed by his wife, Amy (Schuldes); children: Noah (Sherry) Neal and their daughter Amber, De Pere, Jacob (Leanne) Neal, Fond du Lac, and McKenzie Neal, at home. Mother Sandra Neal, West Bend; father, Wes Sr. (Marcy) Neal, Milwaukee; brothers Steve (Lisa) Neal, Chester, VA, Tim (Jenny) Neal, Powers Lake; Dan (Lisa) Neal, Vine Grove, KY; sister Julie (Bob) Schmitz, West Bend; and mother-in-law Cleo Schuldes, Allouez and numerous nieces and nephews. Wes was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Carl Schuldes, on July 18, 2011. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 20th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Avenue, De Pere. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, September 21st at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan Street, De Pere. THERE WILL BE NO VISITATION PRIOR TO THE MASS. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in a private ceremony. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. A memorial fund has been established for Mack’s college education. The Neal family would like to extend a special thank you to Nancy, Rob and Mark at Mondi Akrosil for their help and support during this difficult time.
