Vivian H. (Rasmussen) Meltz

Vivian H. (Rasmussen) Meltz, 91, Milwaukee, formerly of Denmark, passed away Friday, September 27, 2013 in Menomonee Falls, WI. She was born September 9, 1922 in Denmark, daughter to the late Nels and Mathilda (Luedtke) Rasmussen. She married Karl Meltz in 1964, and he preceded her in death in 1975. During the war years, Vivian worked for Allis Chalmers in Milwaukee County for many years, and later for Milwaukee County Hospital as a nurse for 35 years. Vivian enjoyed volunteering for St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee where she knitted baby blankets, hats and booties. She is survived by two brothers, Clarence (Marvel) Rasmussen and Harold Rasmussen; a sister, Mabel (Gene) Peterson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her siblings, and a sister-in-law, Elsie. Family and friends may call Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 Cty R, Denmark.
