Virginia "Ginny" Fleck

April 8, 1942 — August 13, 2021

Virginia (Ginny) Fleck, age 79, of De Pere, passed away Friday, August 13, 2021. The daughter of the late Lavern and Adeline (Wille) Priebusch was born April 8, 1942 in Hustisford, WI. After graduating Juneau High School in 1960 she went on to earn a degree from Milton College. She married Howard “Mike” Fleck on August 20, 1966 at Salem Lutheran Church in Lowell, WI. Virginia taught German and English primarily at the middle schools in Green Bay, and also for a time at NEW Lutheran High School. She enjoyed traveling, and was able to visit all 50 states as well as Germany, Spain, Britain, Italy among other destinations. Her favorite trip was to Germany for the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.

Ginny was active on the Board of GBEA, Faith Lutheran Church and NEW Lutheran High School.  She was very active in the lives of her grandchildren and affectionately known as Oma.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Mike; children: Heather Fleck of De Pere, Shannon (John) Zur of Waukesha and Courtney (Nicholas) Kurtz of Neenah; grandchildren: Colby Zur, Dawson Zur, Joshua Kurtz and Samantha Kurtz; brothers: Lavern Priebusch of Lowell, WI and Blaine (Carol) Priebusch of Reeseville, WI.

In addition to her parents, Lavern and Adeline, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Madelyn Priebusch and Marilyn Priebusch.

Family and friends may visit at Faith Lutheran Church, 2335 S Webster Ave, Green Bay, on Wednesday, August 18, from 9:00am until 10:45am. Funeral service will be held at 11:00am with Pastor Joshua Errer officiating. Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Faith Lutheran Church or Lutheran School Association.
