Vincent Gregory Pelletier

Vincent Gregory Pelletier, age 76, of Allouez, passed away November 17, 2015 at his home. The son of the late Louis Gregory Pelletier and Mary McRae Pelletier was born July 31, 1939 in Newberry, Michigan. He graduated from Newberry High School and later from Northern University and Marquette University, where he earned his Masters in Social Work. Vincent married Kathleen Audrey (Van Beek) Pelletier on October 9, 1965 at St. Bernard Parish in Green Bay. Vincent worked for Catholic Social Services/St Joseph's Corporation for 45 years. He started as a social worker and eventually worked as Director of Saint Joseph Corporation overseeing all functions of programs and real estate. He was on the Board of Directors for Villa West, was involved for years with United Way, and was previously the president of Serra International (a religious organization to promote vocations in the religious fields). Vincent was also president of Big Brothers/Big Sisters at one time, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Serra International and the Concerned Hearts Club at Bellin Hospital. In his spare time Vincent enjoyed: gardening, collecting stamps and coins, volunteering, charity work and being a Eucharistic Minister at Resurrection Catholic Parish, where he and Kathy were members. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Audrey (Van Beek) Pelletier of Allouez; daughter Lisa and Brian Pelletier-Buntrock of Green Bay; a sister Joan McRae Todd of Wisconsin Rapids; as well as nieces and nephews: John Todd of Wisconsin Rapids, Tom Todd of Madison, Jo Todd Zelmer of Minneapolis, Patty Todd Carlson of Minneapolis, Mary Todd Tempas of Minneapolis, Theresa Todd Rapp of Wisconsin Rapids. He was preceded in death by his father and mother: Mary (McRae) Pelletier and Louis G Pelletier; an infant sister Theresa Pelletier (died as infant at 6 months), brother-in-law, John “Jack” Todd and Tosha, his loving beagle of 16 years. Family and friends may visit at Resurrection Catholic Parish, 333 Hilltop Drive, Allouez, on Monday, November 23, from 9:00am until 10:45am. A Knights of Columbus prayer service will be held at 10:50am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Monday with Bishop Robert Morneau officiating. Entombment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family.
